Primary Tap and Grade 1 Modern:

Girls - Suzie-Q velvet keyhole leotard of your own choice of colour, black cotton stirrups, bare feet for modern, black socks and full leather tap shoes. Hair tied back neatly.

Boys - White plain t-shirt, navy cotton shorts, white tap socks, black canvas or leather tap shoes.

Grade 2, 3 & 4 Modern and Grade 1, 2, 3 & 4 Tap:

Girls - Suzie-Q velvet keyhole leotard of your own choice of colour, black cotton stirrups, bare feet for modern, black socks and full leather tap shoes. Hair tied back neatly.

Boys - Black Dancemania lycra fitted t-shirt, black jazz pants, leather tap shoes (Bloch or Capezio).Bare feet for modern.

 

G4 and above may wear Reuben Sanchez or Miller & Ben tap shoes but first seek advice from tap teachers on their suitability.

Grade 5 (some Grade 4 please check) – Advanced:

Girls - Any colour/type leotard, black convertible or footless tights (not leggings), bare feet, black tap shoes (Bloch, Capezio, Reuben Sanchez or Miller and Ben). The suitability of specialist tap shoes should be advised from the tap teacher). Hair in a bun with a net.

Boys - Any colour leotard, black tights or as above bare feet for Modern, black tap shoes (Bloch, Capezio, Reuben Sanchez or Miller and Ben).

Any appropriate clothing for the class that isn't revealing and allows the body to move freely. Hair tied back neatly. Please note an HDS t-shirt* may be required for performances.
